my favorite ride. we road it about two times a day, every day during our stay. the first time we road it, we thought it would be a great idea for the two of us to share one rocket. not only did i crush my knee but i crushed something else on tommy. from then on we asked for our own rockets.

during one of the rides, tommy was in the rocket behind me and as we spun around high and made our descent down, he screamed at me, “NOW LAY DOWN! LAY DOWN!” (to purposely put a pit in our stomaches). the little boy in the rocket ahead of me thought tommy was yelling at him. his little head ducked down in the rocket and didn’t come back up until after the ride when his mother had to come over and pull him out. poor little guy.

we’re back

beach retreat: christopher cross

this is the final beach retreat post. the theme song hummed by tommy and me during this past weekend was sailing by christopher cross. we made up a few variations to keep it interesting – spelunking (tommy’s version) and submarining (my version).

thanksgiving was wonderful, by the way. a few pictures are posted on flickr.

pumpy where you be?
i need to carve holes in you
and then eat your seeds

the saga continues…
in all seriousness, this is a very grave situation. we have got to get a pumpkin by tonight. no more tomfoolery. we absolutely must have our pumpy materials ready for a super intense 2nd annual anderson/carleton pumpkin carving party.

my mom was baptized on sunday in folsom lake. it was a beautiful, joyous day for our family! 80 other people were also baptized in the lake. cheers and shouts of joy rang loudly along the beach. i’m sure it was an odd spectacle for all the swimmers, boaters, and sunbathers, but who cares, praise the good Lord!

in other news – squishy face animals adore tommy and hunter is still so incredibly cute.
