pumpkin carving party
October 24, 2009

FOLLOWING FRIDAY’S WEDDING extravaganza was the sixth annual pumpkin carving party with our pals. each year the pumpkins get bigger, the guts messier, and somehow the number of kids multiply. this year i managed getting away without having to carve a pumpkin – tommy did all the work while wren and i supervised. he did a great job, my favorite part being mr. pumpybum’s tail.
a very peacock wedding
October 23, 2009

THEY DID IT! charles and laura are married! laura, bride of mr. peacock {no, charles is not the peacock} but this mr. peacock, was truly the most beautiful bride i’ve ever seen. perfect wedding, yummy food, gorgeous location, and tons of fun was had at our table. so sad to have missed the bailey’s exit – tommy and i were busy acting like fools on the dance floor and missed the big goodbye. also sad, i planned to take photos of all the design work i had done for laura for the reception and i didn’t take a single photo – again, i blame it on the dancing.
update
October 22, 2009
WHAT’S GOING ON? well, let’s see…there was a beach retreat {no pictures, sad}, my father-in-law’s 60th birthday party {no pictures, even more sad}, sanchez photo shoot session 1 for christmas cards {photographed by moi, and a hilarious challenge}, fall wedding orders falling from the sky, little baby wren not so little anymore and taking one less nap a day {in need of more mom-time}, threw a pantie party for a friend getting married tomorrow {i was 10 shades of red going into spencer’s with wren just to buy a gag gift for the party}, working on our halloween costumes {can you believe it’s next week!?}…and lastly, found out that i’ll be in my very first craft faire at the end of november! more updates soon…
going places

IS PUSHING ONESELF BACKWARDS across the floor considered crawling? maybe not, but she’s moving, and getting stuck. she’s also been doing jazzhands and finger pistols. something tells me she’ll always be the life of the party. tomorrow marks wren’s 8th month — eight months of making us laugh really, really hard.

eat your vitamins
September 25, 2009

JUST A REMINDER wash your hands and eat your fruits and veggies. a heaviness weighed down my head and neck when i woke up this morning. i immediately enjoyed every bite of that wonderfully puckery bowl of vitamin c.
